Safe, Warm & Boring
late in the morning
there’s a fire
safe, warm and boring
but i can’t ignore it
call a time-out
the rain keeps on pouring
we made up new rules to bury the clues
we sat on the truth to satisfy who?
i am amazed
what we promised to save
we’ve now thrown all away
slipping away
with no pardon, no promise, no parade
a forgone conclusion
kept from danger
too soft to wager
am i too controlling?
keep your distance
avoid confrontation
no parents protection to trade
and nobody else left we can blame

I have everything The Stereo has released (Let Go & Jamie's solo stuff, too) and while it's early, I don't see how time won't prove "Thirteen" to equal or surpass anything else they've done. It's that good. whitsbrain
